Non-Invasive IPL Photofacial Treatment

Cutera Limelight IPL is a medical-grade, non-invasive light-based device designed to combat age spots, freckles, skin redness, tiny veins, and sun damage. Limelight IPL uses an adjustable wavelength and explicitly targets the superficial pigment in the epidermis. Using a wavelength spectrum with strong melanin absorption and weak hemoglobin absorption, much lower fluence (power) is needed for effective treatment. Pulses are controlled by a closed-loop power control that regulates every pulse for consistent, safe results.

Premium Light Therapy

The heating of the abnormal red and brown pigment breaks it down into smaller particles which are then eliminated by the body’s immune cycle. For permanently dilated, tiny blood vessels (telangiectasia) and related rosacea, this light therapy selectively destroys the abnormal blood vessels that cause the problem, allowing thicker-walled micro-vessels to be formed.

Benefits Include:

  • Helps remove solar lentigines and skin pigmentation
  • Improves skin tone
  • Restores a youthful glow to your face
  • Can reduce vascular lesions
  • Minimal to no downtime
  • U.S. FDA clearance for a variety of indications, including benign pigmented lesions and vascular lesions

The Limelight Photo Facial

The LimeLight Photo Facial is a non-invasive approach to treating benign pigmented and vascular lesions using Cutera’s LimeLight. The procedure offers the advantage of improving skin tone and surface imperfections associated with aging and photodamage. The LimeLight Facial is ideal for any part of your face, neck, and décolleté with skin redness, telangiectasia (tiny veins), or brown spots. Light (low contrast) brown spots, previously difficult to resolve, respond very well to treatment.

Customized Treatment Options

By selecting program, A, B, or C, your practitioner can customize your LimeLight Facial to your skin type and selectively treat the brown and red pigmented areas on your skin. It’s the heating of the pigmented brown or red cells that causes the therapeutic effect.

Protect Your Skin

New brown spots, telangiectasia, and diffuse redness may appear with further sun damage; however, they too can be treated. Remember to apply broad-spectrum sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots and diffuse redness. Rosacea is chronic and cannot be “cured” with any laser or light source. However, we can improve the appearance of rosacea.
